You can only use printerless returns if the outbound shipment was sent as a parcel without shipping options. If the return is a letterbox parcel or a parcel shipment with shipping options (such as 18+ age check or increased liability), the digital barcode will not be available, and your customer will need to print a return label themselves.
How does it work?
You can set up printerless returns in no time by going to ‘Shop settings’ > ‘Returns’. Under ‘Printerless returns through PostNL’, select ‘Yes’.
Then select whether you want to apply a surcharge (€ 0.10) for printerless returns.
If you have sent the order as a parcel without shipping options, your customer will automatically receive the unique digital barcode via the returns portal.
Your customer shows the barcode at the PostNL location. The PostNL employee prints the return label and processes the shipment.
