Want to ship an order to the land of paella and tapas? You can create a shipping label and ship your parcels to Spain through MyParcel in a few simple steps. You and your customer can track the order up to the moment of delivery using the automatic Track & Trace information. You don’t need to fill in Customs forms for shipments to Spain, with the exception of the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.
Rates.
PostNL bases the rates for sending EU shipments on weight scales. This means that the weight of your shipment affects your shipping rate. Below you will find the rates per scale.

| Volume surcharge | PostNL charges a volume surcharge for parcels within the EU. We choose not to pass on the volume surcharge for packages within the EU for now, to give you the opportunity to adjust your packaging. |
| Energy surcharge |
Due to the high energy and fuel prices, PostNL charges an energy surcharge of € 0.12 per package.

| Manual processing surcharge | If products are not packaged correctly or not securely, they can disrupt the logistics process of the carrier. For this you pay a surcharge of €3.46 per package. |
| Peak surcharge | A surcharge of € 0.25 per package only applies during the end of the year period. |
Shipping options to Spain.
As of January 1, 2023, European shipments are no longer insured as standard. For a small extra charge you can choose the shipping option ‘Insured up to € 50’ or ‘Insured up to € 500’ to get extra certainty about the shipment.
Shipping parcels to Spanish exception regions.
The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are part of Spanish territory but are not subject to European Union Customs duties. There is an exception for these regions and you must fill in the Customs forms. You can fill in the Customs forms when creating a shipment, from your MyParcel account.
Important shipping information.
- Always specify a telephone number and email address of the addressee on the shipping label.
- Make sure that the addressee’s name exactly matches the nameplate at the addressee’s house or premises.
- If you have a door code available from the recipient, specify it on the shipping label as well.
